What the current limited warranties have in common

The current limited-warranty sources describe coverage for the original owner when the machine is bought from Vitamix or an authorized retailer. They describe coverage for defects in materials or workmanship under owner-manual-compliant use, say the warranty is not transferable, and describe repair or exchange as possible remedies. Full Warranty pages are different sources

Vitamix also has 5-year and 7-year Full Warranty pages. Those pages describe a covered machine or package for personal household use, including defects and ordinary household wear, with repair and possible replacement or refund when repair is not possible. Do not substitute those pages for a product that carries a limited-warranty label. [6] [7]

Separately sold containers

The 3-Year Full Warranty source is for separately sold containers and defined components, including the container, lid, blade assembly, and retainer nut as described there. Do not apply it to a container that came in a blender package without checking that package’s warranty. For choosing a replacement, use the container guide after confirming fit. [5]

Certified Reconditioned machines

Certified Reconditioned Explorian Series machines have three full years of coverage; other Certified Reconditioned machines have five full years. The reconditioned source also describes parts, performance, labor, two-way shipping, and a 60-day in-home trial. These terms are separate from new-machine and separately sold-container sources. Registration and proof of purchase

The warranty pages encourage registration. The full-warranty pages say that not registering does not diminish warranty rights; the limited-warranty pages explain that an unregistered owner may need the purchase date and proof of purchase when requesting service.
